ill.Design is an illustration and design studio created by Stig Rønning and Eirik Braathen. We are based in Oslo, Norway. We started drawing together in 1995. During our senior year at the Norwegian School of Creative Studies we founded ill.Design. (2005)
Since then we have become one of the leading character designers in Norway, commissi-oned by advertising agencies, record labels, TV-stations and publishing houses.
We believe that visual communication is all about projecting a feeling or a story through
graphic elements and color, sprinkled with clever details.
We look at our illustrations as a form of visual poetry; saying a lot with few words. Managing
to tell the viewer what we want with a limited amount of lines, shapes and colors.
